Candidates must satisfy the prescribed age conditions as on 01 July 2026:

- Maximum Age Limit (Superannuation): 62 Years
Candidates above 62 years of age as of 01-07-2026 are not eligible to apply. Reservation and related relaxations are admissible only to domicile candidates of Uttar Pradesh as per government norms.
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj has published Advertisement No. 07/2026 to recruit 17,735 Assistant Teachers (Graduate Scale / TGT) for non-government aided secondary schools across the state. This massive recruitment drive offers an exceptional opportunity for B.Ed and Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualified aspirants to build a prestigious teaching career under the Uttar Pradesh State Government. Male candidates can apply only under the Boys' School wing, whereas female candidates can opt for either Boys' or Girls' schools at the time of form submission.

Follow these steps to submit your online application for UPESSC TGT Recruitment 2026:
- Visit the official portal at https://upessc.up.gov.in and complete the mandatory One Time Registration (OTR) if not registered already.
- Log in using your registered mobile number/registration number and locate the link for Advertisement No. 07/2026.
- Fill in educational credentials, subject specialization, and school cadre choice (Boys or Girls school for female candidates) strictly in English.
- Upload recent passport photo (10 KB to 100 KB in JPG/JPEG), white background signature (10 KB to 100 KB), and required certificates in PDF format (20 KB to 200 KB).
- Pay the category-wise application fee using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking on the integrated online payment portal.
- Review your application carefully, submit the final form, and download at least three printed copies for record keeping and document verification.
The selection for Assistant Teacher (Graduate Scale) will be conducted strictly through a 360-mark written examination comprising 120 objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The duration of the test will be 2 hours. Out of 120 questions, 30 questions will pertain to General Knowledge and 90 questions will be based on the concerned subject discipline. Each correct answer carries 3 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted as negative marking for each incorrect or multiple-marked answer. The test paper will be bilingual (Hindi and English), except for specific language subjects.
Appointed candidates for the post of Assistant Teacher (Graduate Scale / TGT) will receive remuneration in Pay Matrix Level-7 with a pay scale of ₹44,900/- to ₹1,42,400/-, along with applicable Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other admissible state government benefits.
