- Visit the official UPESSC portal at www.upessc.up.gov in or directly access https://apply.upessc.org/register.
- Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process if you are a new user.
- Log in using your OTR credentials at https://apply.upessc.org/login and select Advertisement No. 06/2026.
- Fill in all mandatory personal, academic, and subject choices carefully. Select either Boys or Girls school cadre as per eligibility.
- Upload scanned signature (10-200 KB, JPG/JPEG format) on white background, passport photo (30-300 KB), and required PDF documents (50-500 KB).
- Pay the application fee online through Debit/Credit card or Net Banking before the last date (17-10-2026).

The selection for UPESSC PGT recruitment 2026 is based on a merit list out of 400 total marks. The evaluation stages include:
- Written Examination (360 Marks): Consists of 120 objective MCQs (30 questions on General Knowledge and 90 questions on the concerned subject). Exam duration is 2 hours. Each correct answer carries 3 marks, and 1 mark is deducted for wrong/multiple answers (Negative Marking).
- Interview (40 Marks): Shortlisted candidates based on written exam performance will be called for the interview stage.
Candidates appointed to the post of PGT Lecturer will be placed under Pay Level-8 with a basic pay matrix ranging from ₹47,600 to ₹1,51,100, along with applicable Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and state government benefits.
