The University of Kota (UOK) has released Notification No. 01/2026 inviting online applications for the Rajasthan State Eligibility Test (SET-2026). Qualifying this test determines eligibility for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor/Lecturer in universities and colleges across Rajasthan state. With no upper age limit and validity spanning a lifetime within Rajasthan, this examination serves as a major gateway for postgraduates pursuing an academic teaching career in higher education.

The examination will consist of two papers featuring objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with no break between papers. Paper I evaluates teaching and research aptitude, testing reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness (50 Questions, 100 Marks, 1 hour). Paper II assesses subject knowledge chosen by the candidate (100 Questions, 200 Marks, 2 hours). The total duration for both papers combined is 3 hours (180 minutes). Each question carries 2 marks, and there is no negative marking for incorrect responses.

The SET certificate awarded upon qualifying shall remain valid forever for the state of Rajasthan. Qualified candidates become eligible to apply for Assistant Professor/Lecturer positions across all universities, government colleges, and private institutes in Rajasthan as per prescribed recruitment procedures.
