The recruitment process consists of a Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by Document Verification (DV) and a Medical Examination. The exam pattern for the CBT is detailed below:

- Subjects: Professional Ability (70 Marks), General Awareness (10 Marks), General Arithmetic & Reasoning (10 Marks), General Science (10 Marks)
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS - 40%, OBC(NCL) - 30%, SC - 30%, ST - 25%.
Selected candidates will receive basic pay according to the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix Level assigned to each specific post. Nursing Superintendents start at Pay Level 7 with an initial basic pay of ₹44,900/month. Dialysis Technicians, Health & Malaria Inspectors, and Audiologists fall under Level 6 (₹35,400 basic). Pharmacists and Radiographers receive Level 5 (₹29,200 basic). ECG Technicians and Optometrists are in Level 4 (₹25,500 basic), while Lab Assistants are in Level 3 (₹21,700 basic).
